The RollerSlide Flexi does not require a flat surface

The Ross RollerSlide is also available in a Flexi version that can be folded lengthwise along the centreline of the patient or the bed; it effortlessly adapts to the surface it rests on. This model does not require a flat surface, so it's very practical for transfers from ambulance stretchers or other uneven surfaces. In all other respects, the Flexi model is similar to the basic RollerSlide model. Both models come in two lengths, one of which covers the entire body and the other covers the trunk. The longer versions can be folded down the middle.

How can a bridge move and still be safe?

Differences in height can pose a big problem. And sometimes it's difficult to get close enough to ensure smooth transfers for patients and staff. The Ross RollerSlide, which is used for horizontal transfers, bridges gaps and moves with patients. RollerSlide consists of a padded sliding board with a cover made from our ultra low friction (ULF) material - sophisticated sliding material that slides round the board during transfer. The sliding material reduces friction under patients. It facilitates transfers, and staff avoid unnecessary lifting. The RollerSlide also ensures very gentle transfers for patients who are injured or very sensitive to pain.

The easy-to-use RollerSlide is simple to maintain. The outer cover is replaceable and can easily be cleaned.

Quick reference

The Ross RollerSlide and the Ross RollerSlide Flexi are used for transfers of inert patients between a bed and x-ray or operating tables, shower trolleys, ambulance stretchers (or similar transfers).

The RollerSlide consists of a plywood board (the Flexi model is in plastic) with nylon-covered foam padding and a slide cover that is made from our special ultra low friction (ULF) sliding material.

Ross Maxiglide - Spanning gaps and raising upwards

Lifting levels are always different and it is usually hard to get close enough to ensure smooth transfers for both patients & staff. The Ross MaxiGlide sliding board is mainly used for transfers between beds and shower trolleys and x-ray or operating tables (or similar transfers) and is very easy to use.

MaxiGlide can span gaps of 20cm as well as small differences in height, and is extra stable where a patient's body is heaviest. Owing to anti-slip protection on the underside the sliding board stays in position during transfers. Transporting the sliding board is effortless - just fold it and carry it with one of its handles. Ross Easyslide - This sliding mat paved the way for all other devices in this catalogue and many others that are now used worldwide.

EasySlideThe Ross Easyslide sliding mat was our first product. It was launched back in 1984 and has been successfully used since then, in hospitals and nursing homes around the world. Its primary use is for transfers, for example, between beds and x-ray or operating tables, shower trolleys, and cots. It is also a very efficient aid when doing complete turns on x-ray or operating tables. Our sophisticated ultra low friction (ULF) material on the inner surface of the sliding mat reduces friction, so patients can be moved on practically any surface - with a few simple movements and minimal exertion. No unnecessary lifting makes for a transfer that's easy on patients and healthcare staff. A disposable cover on EasySlide assures good hygiene.

We're very proud of this device - the foundation of a business concept that's implemented worldwide. It was the first product in what is now our total system.
