Designed by NHS staff and commissioned by NHS Inovations, each mat comes in two sections that can be joined together with velcro attachments. To minimise trip risks the mats have tapered edges. Made from a high density polyurethane foam, the mats have an anti-bacterial additive, making them easy to clean with a cleaning cloth.
