The conference was full of seminars and training workshops covering a vast array of topics such as: -

  • Preparing for large scale events
  • Active shooter preparedness and response measures for public gatherings
  • Mass shooting incidents
  • Social Media strategies for emergency management
  • Hazmat medical response in the hot zone
  • Hospital emergency response
  • Rail incident preparedness and response

….. to name but a few.

The exhibition gave companies the opportunity to meet with key decision makers in the preparedness and prevention field and showcase the latest emergency solutions.

Lynn Moloney, from Advanced Egress Solutions, presented delegates with the latest evacuation solutions available. This range included evacuation devices for the rescue of babies right up to bariatric individuals.

Featured products included –

Buscot Babevac Cot (manufactured by Hospital Aids): a flexible carry cot designed for the evacuation of babies from special care baby units. Featuring integrated carrying harness straps and storage for a small oxygen cylinder, enabling carers to remain hands free to administer care to the infant, whilst being moved to a point of safety.

Evacu-B (available in the UK from Hospital Aids): a revolutionary track chair system for the simple, safe and secure evacuation of new-born babies and infants from hospital wards and special care baby units. This unique evacuation chair enables one carer to transport up to 6 babies at once.

Evac-E-Pad (manufactured by Hospital Aids): an emergency evacuation pad designed for the safe horizontal movement of non-ambulant individuals in an emergency situation. Ideal for use in almost any building as a cost effective alternative to expensive evacuation chairs.

Bariatric EvacMat (manufactured by Hospital Aids): designed for the safe evacuation of bariatric and large individuals. Features include four side ladder handles, headend ladder handle, and short positioning handles which enable multiple rescuers to maneuver the mat while keeping the individuals weight evenly distributed between themselves.

ProMove Sling(available in the UK from Hospital Aids):  an easy to use, emergency evacuation sling for moving and handling incapacitated, disabled or bariatric individuals in confined or outdoor spaces where a hoist cannot be used.

Both Steve and Lynn had a fantastic time at this, the 8th annual conference and all the emercency evacuation devices presented were received exceptionally well by the delegates throughout the exhibition.

We’d like to take this opportunity to thank Lynn Moloney, of Advanced Egress Solutions, for all her support and continued hard work in promoting Hospital Aids evacuation devices throughout the USA and we look forward to many more years working together.
